“Amotekun Unveils Alleged Criminals in Ondo: A Closer Look”



Agents of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, commonly referred to as the Amotekun Corps, have apprehended two alleged kidnappers and armed robbers operating within the state.

While displaying the suspects at the headquarters of the Corps in Alagbaka, Akure, Commander Adetunji Adeleye revealed that the suspects were taken into custody in Owo, the center of the Owo Local Council Area of the state.

Adeleye also mentioned that additional arrests were made within the Oloko area of Akure metropolis during a week-long sweep across the state, highlighting that these apprehensions were executed through coordinated actions of various security agencies in the region.

As per the Amotekun leader, a total of 164 individuals were showcased alongside numerous recovered stolen items, mentioning that 144 were detained for violations of law and order, including one case of rape, 15 instances of human trafficking, and one infraction against the state’s anti-open grazing legislation.

“One Godwin was captured over alleged homicide and sexual assault. Other detainees include Azeez (30), charged with arson and evading lawful custody, alongside Ademola, Imole, and Japhet, aged between 26 and 32, who were caught for crimes ranging from conspiracy and abduction to aggression against security forces.

” Emmanuel (38) and Ibrahim (20) were taken in for conspiracy, disturbing the peace, and possession of stolen motorcycles. Emeri and Moses were also detained for reportedly facilitating human trafficking and deceiving unsuspecting victims in Akure.”
