
The Oyo State Police Command has disclosed that it has detained no fewer than 10 alleged armed robbers.
The command highlighted that the suspects were captured in an establishment situated in Ibadan, the capital of the state.
The declaration was made through a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, and was provided to NAIJATAB on Sunday evening.
Ayanlade mentioned that the 10 members of the armed robbery ring were taken into custody at their hideaway within a hotel in the Challenge district of Ibadan.
He further stated that the criminal group is recognized for seizing containers at gunpoint.
The suspects, as per the police, are Mukaila Omorayo, Adekanbi Adesola, Ahmed Oderinlo, Samuel Omoseyin, Ramon Saheed, Monilola Ajayi, and Akanbi Bisi.
Additional individuals include Wasilat Abdullahi, Bolaji Tanimola, and Adeola Oyesina.
Ayanlade additionally indicated that several stolen goods were retrieved from the suspects, with the cumulative worth of the recovered items estimated at One Hundred Million Naira (₦100,000,000.00).
