“From Temptation to Transformation: Lojay’s Journey to Loving Intentionally”

Nigerian artist Lekan Osifeso Junior, widely recognized as Lojay, has disclosed that his initial belief about becoming a pop star involved seizing opportunities for romantic escapades.

During a segment of the I Said What I Said podcast, the Monalisa hitmaker elaborated that his viewpoint transformed after he understood that to sustain a lengthy and prosperous career, a degree of sexual restraint was necessary.

“There is an abundance of allure in the music scene. You will encounter numerous things, but you are not supposed to indulge. I previously assumed I would engage with many women since there are attractive individuals everywhere. However, when you have approximately 100 girls reaching out to you, that is when discipline must be nurtured.

“I recognized that if you aspire to have a lengthy career like the Big 3, you must steer clear of too many women,” he stated.

Lojay also shared that one of his cultural revelations upon entering the music industry was that the lifestyles of other musicians that once captivated him during his underground phase were not as enticing when he transitioned to the mainstream.

He asserted that there is considerably more discipline in the music field than many people perceive, emphasizing that artists are careful with their words and actions because they possess reputations to uphold.

Nonetheless, he acknowledged that his character also contributed to his greater discipline compared to many of his peers regarding womanizing and a lavish lifestyle.
