“Phyna Reveals: Why Confident Women Make Nigerian Men Nervous!”

Previous Big Brother Naija champion, Josephine Otabor, commonly referred to as Phyna, has asserted that she remains unmarried because Nigerian men are intimidated by self-assured and autonomous women.

During a recent livestream on Twitch, the reality star asserted that a majority of Nigerian men favor partners they can dominate and tend to shy away from self-reliant women.

Phyna clarified that expressive women like herself are particularly affected since many men evaluate them based on their online presence and choose to avoid them even prior to an introduction.

The actress remarked that she is, nevertheless, unfazed by this pattern, emphasizing that she won’t alter her persona to align with a man’s preferences.

“I consider myself a ten out of ten. The reality is that men tend to be intimidated by assertive and self-confident women. There are certain women whose mere appearance indicates that they cannot be dominated. However, Nigerian men appear to prefer those they can manage.

“They aren’t interested in women who have a voice or are cultured. Thus, for those of us who are outspoken about our identities, even before they encounter us, they are already intimidated and making judgments. But honestly, I genuinely don’t mind,” she stated.
