“Thierry Henry Draws Intriguing Parallels Between Lamine Yamal and Cristiano Ronaldo”

Former France forward, Thierry Henry, has likened Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal to Portugal’s skipper, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Henry was offering insights for Barca’s Champions League quarter-final second leg encounter against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

In his view, Yamal was as “daring” as Ronaldo, with the 18-year-old affirming his pre-match statements by netting the first goal at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Though Ferran Torres equalized the aggregate score, Ademola Lookman’s strike resulted in Barcelona’s exit.

Henry remarked: “This is exactly what a young Cristiano Ronaldo used to accomplish: he could speak confidently in interviews and deliver on the field.

“Yamal declared he would bear the burden of Barcelona alone, and scarcely two minutes into the match, he had already found the net. But what astonishes me even more is his audacity.”
