Renowned musician and lyricist, Jesse Jagz Abaga has voiced his worries regarding the deteriorating economic distress and rising insecurity in the nation.
The ‘Bad Girl’ hitmaker expressed he cannot comprehend the reasoning behind the rampant corruption and misgovernance within Nigeria’s political elite.
He remarked that the inability of Nigerian leaders to furnish essential services, such as healthcare facilities for their communities, is the reason many of the same leaders end up “perishing like animals” in foreign medical institutions.
On his X profile, he stated, “Envision receiving an opportunity to transform your people’s destiny, and all you do is pilfer the funds and export it overseas.
“I truly do not grasp the reasoning of these Nigerian leaders. That’s why a majority of them ultimately perish like animals in hospitals abroad!”
In a subsequent post, Jesse Jagz asserted that Nigerian leaders are currently catering to the interests of foreign governments who installed them as “puppets” rather than serving Nigerian citizens.
He further claimed that the cost of living in Nigeria worsened since the administration of former United States President Barack Obama assisted the All Progressives Congress, APC, in seizing power.
The rapper added, “Contemporary politicians are no different from the collaborators who participated in our colonization, or those who sold their own kin into servitude.
“I was present, alive, observing when Obama and his team supported Buhari — and life has only deteriorated since.”
