“Six Healthcare Heroes Abducted in Ondo: A Call for Action”

Not fewer than six healthcare personnel were reportedly abducted during a midnight assault on a medical facility in the Oke Ijebu region of Akure, the Ondo State capital.

As per eyewitness accounts, the perpetrators arrived around 2:00 a.m. in a vehicle, forcefully gaining entry to the establishment located opposite Mega School.

The armed individuals are said to have gathered all staff present, including trainees, and transported them in the awaiting vehicle to an undisclosed destination.

Individuals receiving care at the time of the incident were reported to be unharmed, although noticeably shaken by the experience.

Local inhabitants expressed profound worry over the situation, labeling it as distressing and calling for immediate action from security forces to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped healthcare workers and avert further assaults.

At the time of reporting, officials had not released an official statement concerning the event.
