
At least six healthcare personnel were reportedly abducted during a nighttime assault on a medical facility in the Oke Ijebu region of Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
As per eyewitness accounts, the perpetrators arrived around 2:00 a.m. in a vehicle, forcefully entering the establishment situated across from Mega School.
The armed assailants purportedly gathered all employees on shift, including trainees, and transported them in the awaiting automobile to an undisclosed destination.
Patients undergoing treatment during the assault were allegedly left unharmed, although they appeared visibly disturbed by the incident.
Local residents voiced significant worry over the occurrence, labeling it as distressing and calling for urgent action by security forces to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped healthcare workers and to avert additional assaults.
At the point of this report, officials had not released an official statement concerning the event.
