
Poland’s assistant national squad coach, Jacek Magiera, has tragically passed away at the age of 49.
The ex-Poland U20 manager passed away on Friday, leading to a wave of sorrow both domestically and throughout Europe.
Among those grieving for him is Aston Villa defender Matty Cash.
Magiera had been serving as the senior national team’s assistant coach since July 2025.
His unexpected demise occurred Friday morning after he allegedly collapsed while jogging.
Cash, who has earned 24 caps for Poland, expressed a heartfelt homage on social media: “Jacek, you were such a remarkable individual, always wearing a smile. You will be profoundly missed. RIP Legend.”
