The TRACE spokesperson further revealed that initial investigations suggested the two female passengers had just arrived from the United Kingdom and were heading to Abeokuta for a wedding celebration at the time of the incident.

He mentioned that the remains of the deceased were sent to the morgue at Redeemed Hospital, while the injured individuals were transported to Famobis Hospital and Redeemed Hospital for medical care.

“The injured individuals were quickly taken to Famobis Hospital and Redeemed Hospital, while the deceased has been taken to the morgue at Redeemed Hospital.

“While TRACE expresses condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, drivers are once more urged to refrain from excessive speeding due to its serious repercussions,” the statement concluded.
