APC Chairman Yilwatda Pays Heartfelt Tribute to El-Rufai in Wake of Mother’s Passing

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday made a condolence visit to the former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, at his home in Abuja.

Yilwatda came to express his sympathy to El-Rufai regarding the passing of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who died on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt, following a bout of illness.

NAIJATAB had previously reported that numerous notable political figures have also called upon El-Rufai to extend their condolences at his residence in Abuja.

Among those who have made visits are the Governor of Katsina State Dikko Umar Radda; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; former Governor of Rivers State Rotimi Amaechi; former Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami; and Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
