“Police Set Recruitment Exam Schedule and Urge Candidates to Beware of Scams!”

The Osun State Police Command has declared that the written assessment for police recruitment will take place from April 28 to 30, 2026, for qualified candidates throughout the state.

This information was provided in a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, in Osogbo on Saturday.

According to the announcement, “the process is being conducted by the Police Service Commission, PSC, in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force.”

It mentioned that “the assessment for Osun State candidates will occur at Osun State University, UNIOSUN, Oke-Baale Campus.”

The command emphasized that “only applicants who successfully completed the physical and credentials verification phase would be permitted to participate in the written assessment.”

Candidates were encouraged to access the recruitment portal from April 24, 2026, to print their examination invitation letters, which include information about their test schedules.

“The Commission has designated April 28–30, 2026, for the written assessment for applicants aspiring to be enlisted as Police Constables,” the statement noted.

It instructed candidates who were previously scheduled for April 27 to revisit the portal, highlighting that there had been modifications to the timetable.

“Applicants who have not yet received any notifications should also check the website to print their invitation letters,” the statement added.

The Commission also enumerated items needed on the examination day, such as “a pen, National Identification Number slip, printed invitation letter, and a dress code of white shorts, white T-shirt, and white footwear.”

It cautioned that the recruitment process is complimentary, stressing that “any form of job solicitation, scams, or monetary inducement will be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.”
