Supporters and associates of the renowned Nigerian gospel artist, prophetess Wunmi Awoniyi, have voiced their worries regarding a recent update on her official social media account.

The artist, in a message posted late Saturday night, requested assistance from the wider community.

The message, which accompanied her image, did not
clarify what specifically is troubling the artist, but emphasized that she is in dire need of support.

“Her name is prophetess Wunmi Awoniyi. She is recognized by many as Gbogomifunmi. Please, she desperately requires our prayers at this moment,” the message stated.

In response to the post, her supporters and industry peers, including singer Alewilese and actress Funmi Awelewa, among others, took to social media to offer prayers and words of motivation.
