“Operation Triumph: Kogi Forces Take Down Suspected Terrorist”

Personnel of the 12 Brigade have eliminated a suspected insurgent during a combat patrol at Odoape–Adankolo Forest in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

This information was disclosed in a post on X by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency and security analyst in the Lake Chad region.

The source indicated that the confrontation took place at around 1400hrs on March 23, 2026, when the patrol team encountered the fleeing suspect.

As per Makama, initial inquiries revealed that the neutralized individual was a notorious insurgent engaged in supplying intelligence and targets for abductions, alongside cattle theft and providing timber to terrorist organizations.

“The military has reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining rigorous patrols and intelligence-driven operations to combat criminal activities and safeguard residents in the vicinity,” the source noted.

NAIJATAB recalls that Kogi State has recently turned into a hotspot for banditry, with numerous residents being abducted and others losing their lives in the course.
