“Kidnapping Shock: Gunmen Snatch Local Government Secretary in Kano”

The Secretary of Kibiya Local Government Area in Kano State, Alhaji Hamza Musa Durba, was kidnapped on Friday night by unidentified assailants.

Approximately six armed intruders reportedly stormed the home of Hamza Musa Durba in Dinya town, situated within Durba Ward of Kibiya LGA, late on Friday evening.

Confirming the event, security sources indicated that the invaders arrived on motorcycles, heavily equipped, but did not discharge any rounds during the operation.

A security representative in the vicinity verified the kidnapping, stating that the attackers executed the mission quickly and precisely, gaining entry to the residence without raising any alerts.

He elaborated, “Members of the victim’s family who were present during the incident were left unharmed as the intruders concentrated entirely on capturing their target.”

Community members characterized the occurrence as unsettling and atypical, particularly due to the lack of gunfire, voicing concerns over the escalating audacity of criminal elements in rural areas throughout the state.

Security forces have since been notified and have initiated a coordinated search effort to rescue the victim and apprehend the offenders.
