“Gov Sule Sets His Sights on Nasarawa North Senate Seat for 2027!”

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has announced his intention to vie for the Nasarawa North senatorial position in the 2027 elections.

As reported by Daily Trust, the governor revealed this during a reception for members of the State Executive Council who visited him for Sallah at his home in Gudi, Akwanga Local Government Area.

Sule noted that traditional leaders and political figures from Nasarawa North have been urging him to pursue a Senate seat.

“Given the influence I am receiving from our leaders, and I wish to acknowledge their aspirations, I have concurred to run when the time arrives,” he stated.

He further mentioned that he had previously intended to back another candidate, but subsequently changed his stance after the individual also joined the call for him to contest.

Governor Sule is anticipated to finish his second term in office in 2027, having initially been elected in 2019.
