“Fayose Unleashes Fury: Atiku Deemed a Self-Centered Leader”

Nigerian entrepreneur and online influencer, Isaac Fayose, has condemned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar regarding his intention to run in the 2027 presidential election, labeling the action as “self-serving” and poorly timed.

Fayose’s response comes after Atiku’s recent comment on Arise TV on Wednesday that the 2027 general election might be his last chance to become Nigeria’s leader.

In his response, Fayose questioned Atiku’s choice to pursue another bid, contending that it ignores the existing political sentiment regarding power rotation.

“So Atiku wants to return to do what? To run again? That illustrates he is a very self-centered individual and a self-serving leader,” Fayose remarked.

“How can Atiku be contemplating a comeback? Where is the vitality? Over 70 percent of Nigerians are under 50 or 60. What is happening? This is self-interest,” he continued.

“You running again, you’ve tried, tried. Even President Tinubu has made an effort to elevate you to presidency, yet you didn’t succeed, sir. It is the South’s opportunity; permit us to enjoy our eight years. That is being self-centered.

“It is the South’s moment. Let us have our eight years. That is justice,” he asserted.

“Atiku’s return to the ballot signifies he is serving Tinubu,” Fayose claimed.

“Because Atiku’s son is already allied with Tinubu. Why would Atiku want to return when we still have four years for the South?” he questioned.
