“Behind Closed Doors: Aminu Masari Reveals the Truth on Form Sales at the APC Convention”

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Convention Central Coordination Committee, Alhaji Aminu Masari, has stated that individuals openly voicing grievances about purported obstruction of access to the party’s nomination forms ahead of Saturday’s national convention aim to disrupt the ruling party.

The former Zamfara State Governor disclosed this in Abuja on Thursday during the APC World Media Briefing, preceding the party’s 8th National Convention set to occur from Friday, March 27 to Saturday, March 28, 2026.

The press conference was also graced by the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Kyamo; Pius Ayim, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee; Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Dare; Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga; and other prominent party officials.

“APC is a responsible Nigerian party. In accordance with federal character, all positions are designated by zones,” he clarified when questioned about certain aspirants for roles who reportedly faced denial of access to forms.

“Individuals who approached to obtain forms for roles designated to their zones were successful. However, if it is indicated that zoning pertains to Zone A and you reside in Zone B, but you attempt to acquire a form in Zone A, we suspect you may be here merely to instigate disruption.

“Who would desire unrest? Let us recognize our nation’s circumstances. The party structures are anchored in zoning, and the working committee members are also allotted according to zones.

“Therefore, if you are vying for a position that has not been assigned to your zone, how can you assert you are being treated democratically? We suspect such individuals might be agents aiming to undermine our party. We will not tolerate this, and I believe no responsible Nigerian would either.

“Thus, we do not consider this an issue. In relation to this matter, we are not aware that anyone has initiated legal proceedings. We have not received any notifications, and I am confident we are a responsible party. If we are served, we will acknowledge it.”
