Courageous Forces Foil Kidnapping Plot, Safeguard Two Lives in Benue

Personnel from Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have effectively averted a kidnapping attempt and rescued two individuals in the Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State.

As per security reports, the occurrence took place around 8:19 a.m. on April 24 in the Agidi community, where alleged abductors were reportedly conducting their operation.

The reports suggested that the troops responded swiftly after receiving a distress signal and promptly proceeded to the site.

“Upon encountering the troops, the abductors deserted the victims and escaped into adjacent foliage,” the report mentioned.

After the intervention, the freed victims were safely reunited with their families.

This event is part of ongoing security initiatives designed to combat kidnapping and other illicit activities throughout the state.
