Chioma Takes a Stand: Legal Action Against Sophia’s Fan Club for Cyberbullying!

Chioma Adeleke, the spouse of renowned Afrobeat artist, Davido, has threatened legal proceedings against members of the Sophia Momodu admirers’ association.

She issued the legal warning on Tuesday following the emergence of messages from the Sophia admirers and TSM Lovers Whatsapp groups on social media.

By sharing images from the group conversations, Chioma’s manager, Ubi Franklin, in a series of updates on X, described the incident as a coordinated online assault aimed at Chioma and Davido’s union.

While asserting that numerous groups are formed solely to intimidate and distress Chioma, Ubi warned every member of the group that “one by one, you will justify to law enforcement what Chef Chi has done to each of you; continue establishing groups to torment her. Her spouse, I as her manager, and the entire family are prepared now, and we will adhere to the regulations, and you will be notified.”

“In Nigeria, cyberbullying and online harassment are not taken lightly—they constitute criminal actions under various laws, particularly the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015.”
