The coach of Brazil, Carlo Ancelotti, has highlighted two factors his squad must address to secure victory in the 2026 World Cup.
Ancelotti addressed the media at his pre-game press conference prior to Brazil’s international exhibition match against Croatia on Tuesday, at 7:00 PM ET at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, United States.
The Italian acknowledged that Brazil needs to possess skill and maintain a solid defense if they aim to clinch the World Cup.
“Certainly, we are ready. Brazil’s previous two championships (1994 and 2002) were founded on the ideal blend of skill and defense,” Ancelotti stated.
“History is quite clear: if Brazil aspires to win, it must display talent – which we have – and also ensure a robust defense. There is no other alternative. I do not subscribe to solely playing offensive football.”
Brazil is placed in Group C at the World Cup along with Scotland, Haiti, and Morocco.
