Arsenal striker, Eberechi Eze has expressed that Mikel Arteta’s squad is facing significant pressure.
As per the England attacker, the team lacks the time to heed commentators or critiques arising from outside.
Arsenal triumphed over Newcastle United 1-0 on Saturday, reclaiming the pinnacle of the Premier League standings.
Eze netted the sole goal of the match to secure all three points for the Gunners at Emirates Stadium.
The victory against the visitors propelled Mikel Arteta’s squad to the summit of the Premier League leaderboard with a three-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.
Manchester City, however, possess a match in hand since Pep Guardiola’s team was engaged in FA Cup duties against Southampton.
Following the match, as cited by Fabrizio Romano on X, Eze remarked, “I don’t pay attention to commentators! The pressure we impose on ourselves is considerably greater than what comes from the outside.”
Nonetheless, he indicated that this pressure is essential for securing wins and the Premier League championship.
“It’s the essential pressure for victory; it’s not detrimental, it’s wonderful,” he stated.
