Nigerian actress and content creator Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, widely recognized as Kiekie, has underscored the importance for content creators and celebrities to establish boundaries between their private and professional lives.
While speaking at The Creative Blueprint 2.0, Kiekie articulated that she has delineated a clear distinction between her personal existence and her identity as a comedic figure.
“I have established a very pronounced boundary between what pertains to me as Oluwabukunmi Adeaga Ilori and what relates to my persona as Kiekie. What encompasses my brand? Event and television host, actress, content creator. What type of content do I provide? Comedic,” she remarked.
Kiekie elaborated that she does not include her spouse, Tunji Ilori, in her content as “he lacks humor”.
The actress mentioned that she includes her daughter Nola on her social media platforms because “she was born for the camera”.
Nevertheless, she specified that there is a constraint on how often she incorporates her daughter into her content, emphasizing that she only produces content with her during school breaks.
Kiekie strongly endorsed moderation among content creators, particularly regarding the inclusion of family members in their material or social media posts.
“We excessively exploit viral moments until they become tedious. And that is where oversharing arises,” she added.
