The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has proclaimed the initiation of the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its forthcoming ward, local government, state congresses, and national convention.
This information was detailed in a public announcement released from its national headquarters in Abuja and signed by Chinedu Idigo, the party’s National Organizing Secretary.
The party has invited interested members aiming for elective roles within its framework to acquire the requisite forms in advance of the processes.
As per the announcement, the Expression of Interest Form is set at N2,000, while nomination fees differ based on the position being contested.
At the ward level, chairmanship forms are priced at N10,000, secretary positions at N5,000, and other roles at N3,000 each.
For local government roles, candidates for chairman are to remit N40,000, whereas secretaries will contribute N30,000 and other officials N10,000 each.
At the state level, the chairmanship form is designated at N500,000, the secretary role at N300,000, and other positions at N50,000 each.
The party also established the nomination fee for national convention delegates at N10,000 per candidate, with each local government area entitled to a single delegate.
Additionally, the ADC asserted that all candidates must obtain nominators, who are mandated to pay a non-refundable fee of N500 each.
The quantity of nominators differs based on the position, ranging from five for certain ward offices to as many as 50 for the state chairmanship role, with geographic distribution requirements in specific instances.
“All payments, encompassing Expression of Interest, Nomination, Nominators’ fees, and outstanding membership dues, must be processed via bank transfer to the party’s designated account,” the announcement specified, emphasizing that proof of payment must be provided at the time of form collection.
Forms are available from the party’s national secretariat or state offices through appointed representatives.
The party set March 27, 2026, as the cut-off date for the sale and submission of forms, cautioning that late submissions will be rejected.
The screening of candidates is planned to occur between March 30 and March 31, 2026.
