Tragic Farewell: Nollywood Star Solomon Akiyesi Passes Away

Nollywood performer and businessperson Solomon Akiyesi has passed away.

The unfortunate event was verified on Monday by Abubakar Yakubu, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

As per Yakubu, Akiyesi passed during his slumber on Sunday. He further mentioned that the actor’s remains have since been transferred to a funeral home in Abuja.

Yakubu also revealed that the guild is still expecting additional information regarding the circumstances of the actor’s passing from his relatives.

“Yes, it is accurate. He passed away yesterday. He fell asleep and did not awaken. We await more information from the family.

“His remains are in the morgue in Abuja, where the unfortunate occurrence took place,” Yakubu informed TheCable Lifestyle.

Born in Edo State, specifically the Akoko-Edo/Ososo region, Solomon Akiyesi was engaged in Nollywood for numerous years and featured in various films.

He appeared in productions such as Heart of a Saint, Desperate Ladies, Pretty Liars, and Bridge of Contract.

His passing has resulted in shock among Nigerians, with some voicing disbelief as tributes begin to arrive following the heartbreaking news.
