Armed assailants have breached the residence of renowned Nigerian musicians, Adegbodu Twins.
This occurs just days following the interment of one-half of the musical duo, Taiwo Adegbodu.
The occurrence, which took place on Tuesday night around 9pm, plunged the family into turmoil.
Revealing the event in a video online on Thursday evening, Kehinde Adegbodu, the other half of the musical group, remarked that the intruder took his garments, footwear, mobile devices, and jewelry among other prized possessions.
While voicing concerns about the family’s security, Kehinde emphasized that he does not have the funds contributed for his brother’s burial by the funeral committee.
Kehinde, who implied that the intruders might have targeted the funds contributed for his twin brother’s funeral, mentioned that one of the robbers was heard using a phone stating, “Kehinde is not present. We encountered his wife and his late brother’s spouse with their children. We can’t locate any money in the residence.”
“I was away when the event transpired. I was in Osun State when my late twin brother’s spouse contacted me. I had to hurry back home because everyone there was frightened and the children were terrified at the sight of armed individuals. Please, I no longer have any money with me. I have utilized the contributions for Taiwo’s funeral and the completion of our unfinished building where he was laid to rest.”
“And if your intention is to confront me for any wrongdoing, I ask for your forgiveness. I am requesting pardon even though I know I have not wronged anyone. I am making this video because my family no longer feels secure. I don’t want our name to gain notoriety once more for negative reasons,” he implored.
NAIJATAB reports that Taiwo Adegbodu passed away from a heart attack on March 1, 2026, and was laid to rest on March 31.
