Legendary Hollywood Icon Chuck Norris Passes Away

Iconic Hollywood performer and martial arts expert Carlos Ray Norris, commonly referred to as “Chuck” Norris, has died at the age of 86.

Norris reportedly passed away on Friday, March 19, 2026. In a statement, his family shared that he departed in the early hours following his hospitalization the day before in Kauai, Hawaii. They indicated that the details regarding his passing would remain confidential, adding that he was in the company of relatives and “was at peace until he took his final breath.”

Originating from Ryan, Oklahoma, United States, Norris achieved worldwide recognition as a martial arts titleholder before moving into a prosperous acting career. He became a familiar name due to his principal role in the beloved television series Walker, Texas Ranger.

Prior to his success in show business, Norris served in the United States Air Force and garnered an outstanding reputation in martial arts tournaments. He later developed his own fighting methodology known as “Chun Kuk Do.”

At a point when numerous actors concentrated on either movies or television, Norris distinguished himself by succeeding in both areas. As he aged, however, he gradually minimized his appearances on-screen.

He also connected with a younger audience through guest appearances in films like Dodgeball (2004), featuring Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller, and The Expendables 2 (2012).

Throughout his life, Norris achieved black belts in various disciplines, including Karate, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo.
