NELFUND Allocates N69.2 Million to Support 936 Students at FCE Yola



The Nigerian Education Loan Fund has allocated a total of N69,210,600 to the Federal College of Education Yola to address institutional charges for 936 students.

The fund revealed this in a report disseminated via its official platform, indicating that the disbursement occurred in segments to guarantee prompt assistance for recipients.

As per the information provided, the allocation was executed in October 2025 in three installments, culminating in a final sum of N69,210,600.

The college administration confirmed the arrival of the funds in a correspondence directed to NELFUND.

“I am writing to confirm the receipt of the total amount of N69,210,600 (Sixty-Nine Million, Two Hundred and Ten Thousand, Six Hundred Naira, solely), disbursed by the Nigerian

Education Loan Fund NELFUND as institutional fees to benefit nine hundred and thirty-six 936 students of the College,” the provost, Mohammed Usman Degereji remarked.

He noted that the funds were received in segments and have been utilized toward student fees.

The institution also praised the initiative, referring to it as assistance for students endeavoring to achieve their academic objectives.

“We are grateful for the dedication of NELFUND in broadening access to higher education and aiding students in fulfilling their academic ambitions,” the letter mentioned.

NELFUND stated that the allocation is part of ongoing initiatives to enhance educational access and alleviate financial burdens on students throughout participating institutions.
