“MC Oluomo Stands Firm: ‘I Remain NURTW President’ Amidst Secretariat Power Struggle with Baruwa”

Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, widely recognized as MC Oluomo, has asserted he is still the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW.

MC Oluomo issued a statement on Monday, in response to the reported appropriation of NURTW’s national secretariat by Tajudeen Baruwa.

Baruwa referenced court decisions, which he alleged favored him.

Nevertheless, in a statement shared on his Instagram account, MC Oluomo characterized the incident as a “forcible takeover” and emphasized that appropriate legal proceedings were still in progress.

The statement declared, “The National President wishes to inform members of the union and the broader public that he was not a party in the alleged judgment.

“The judgment has been appealed, and a stay of execution has been properly filed.

“He has not interacted with Mr. Baruwa or anyone else, being aware that cases are pending in court.

“The matter is under the oversight of security agencies.

“Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya continues to be the National President of NURTW.”
