“Enzo Fernandez’s Agent Speaks Out: ‘This Is Injustice!’ as Chelsea Strikes Back”

Enzo Fernandez’s representative, Javier Pastore, has responded to Chelsea’s choice to penalize the Argentina midfielder.

Chelsea’s manager Liam Rosenior disclosed at his pre-match press briefing on Friday that Fernandez will not participate in the Blues’ subsequent two games against Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-final this weekend and next weekend’s Premier League encounter with Manchester City.

This follows after Fernandez expressed a desire to reside in Madrid in the near future.

“The disciplinary action is utterly unjust,” Pastore stated to The Athletic.

“Enzo was unaware of the circumstances. He did not specify any club or express a wish to depart from Chelsea, quite the opposite.

“He merely referenced Madrid, the city, because he was asked which European city he would like to inhabit one day, and he mentioned Madrid, but at no juncture does he indicate that he wants to leave Chelsea or London.”
