Bible verses for when you’re confused

Bible passages for instances when you feel perplexed

No one on this earth is exempt from perplexity.

There are times when you find yourself caught in a dilemma.

In such moments, you may question God’s love, your employment, future, etc.

Times when bewilderment, skepticism, and ambiguity dominate the landscape.

When this occurs, consider reflecting on the following seven Bible passages:

  1. Proverbs 3:5 -

“Have faith in the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight.”

  1. Psalm 143:8 -

“Let the dawn bring me news of your unfailing love, for my trust is in you. Guide me in the path I should take, for I place my life in your hands.”

  1. James 1: 2–5 -
“Regard it as pure delight, my siblings, whenever you encounter challenges of various kinds, knowing that the testing of your faith cultivates endurance. Allow perseverance to complete its work so that you may be full-grown and whole, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, you ought to ask God, who gives freely to all without reproach, and it will be granted to you.”
  2. 1 John 4:1 -
“Dear friends, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits to determine whether they are from God, for numerous false prophets have emerged into the world.”
  3. 1 Corinthians 14:33 -
“For God is not the source of confusion, but of harmony, as in all congregations of the saints.”
  4. 2 Corinthians 10:5 -
“Demolishing arguments, and every lofty thing that opposes the knowledge of God, and taking captive every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
  5. 2 Timothy 1:7 -
“For God has not bestowed upon us a spirit of timidity; but of strength, love, and self-discipline.”
