Former Nigeria internationals, Samson Siasia and Daniel Amokachi are among the mentors who have submitted applications for the open U-23 Eagles role.
The role was last occupied by previous assistant coach, Salisu Yusuf.
Siasia has had two tenures overseeing the U-23 Eagles in the past.
The ex-attacker led the squad to a runner-up finish in the football competition of the 2008 Olympics held in Beijing, China.
The 58-year-old also directed the team to secure bronze at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
