At least six Arsenal athletes have stepped back from the most recent international assignment due to injuries.
Defender Gabriel Magalhaes is the most recent Gunners member to exit international obligations due to injury.
The Brazil Football Federation, CBF, stated that Gabriel will be absent for Brazil’s friendly matches against France and Croatia, occurring in the United States, due to “discomfort in his right knee”.
The CBF also mentioned that no additional player will be summoned to take the place of the 28-year-old.
This implies that Gabriel has now joined his Arsenal colleagues William Saliba, Leandro Trossard, Jurrien Timber, and Eberechi Eze in opting out of their respective national teams throughout the international break, which commences this week.
Additionally, it was disclosed last week that Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard had also been omitted from Norway’s roster as he recovers from a knee injury.
