Alleged Boko Haram militants have reportedly invaded Dapchi, the center of Bursari Local Government Area in Yobe State.
Reports indicate that the attackers struck the community yesterday around 11 p.m.
NAIJATAB exclusively conversed with a resident who wished to remain unnamed.
Speaking from a concealed location, he stated, “Boko Haram fighters infiltrated our neighborhood yesterday at around 11 pm. They set ablaze three telecommunication towers, a police station, an ambulance belonging to a hospital, and a primary healthcare center, seized motorcycles, and snatched phones from residents.”
According to him, the attackers spent three hours engaged in their activities in the town without opposition.
“The community currently lacks telecommunication services. As we speak, I need to travel to a nearby area to access network service,” the source added.
At the time of writing this report, the military and police have not yet released an official comment on the reported incident.
This marks the second occasion suspected Boko Haram militants have assaulted the community within less than a month, with the previous attack occurring on April 4, 2026.
