Military personnel have apprehended a suspected abductor thought to be involved in an assault on a Point-of-Sale (POS) operator in the Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The apprehension was revealed in a post shared on X by security analyst, Zagazola Makama.
As per the post, the operation was executed on April 21 at approximately 10:35 a.m. by troops of the 232 Battalion (Tactical) under Operation HADIN KAI during a secret mission in Loko village.
Security insiders stated that the suspect was recognized as one of those participating in a March 12, 2026 attack on a POS operator in the vicinity.
According to Makama, initial findings also suggested that he had been on the wanted roster of the Department of State Services (DSS) due to his purported involvement in kidnapping-related offenses.
Following his capture, the suspect was transferred to the DSS for additional investigation and potential prosecution.
Officials also mentioned that security measures are being escalated in the region to locate other members of the alleged criminal syndicate still evading capture.
