“Unveiling Deception: Roby Ekpo’s Bold Move Against Mayowa Lambe in Marriage Fraud Claims”

Renowned media figure, Roby Ekpo, has disclosed his plan to petition the United States administration against his former spouse, Mayowa Lambe, over alleged matrimonial deception.

This revelation follows shortly after Mayowa wed another individual in the US without a formal separation from Ekpo.

Reacting to the situation in a widely circulated interview, Ekpo conveyed his astonishment regarding the news of Mayowa’s remarriage and elaborated on how he facilitated her travel.

While maintaining that Mayowa remains legally bound to him, Ekpo asserted that he purchased a flight ticket for her during her latest trip to Nigeria.

In response, Mayowa, through her legal counsel, dispatched a cease-and-desist order to Ekpo, granting him a 48-hour deadline to adhere to her requests or face legal repercussions.

Mayowa’s requests entail a retraction and an apology, as well as the payment of N100 million in reparations, clarifying that their marital bond was “mutually concluded” in May 2025.

Countering Mayowa’s defamation claim, Ekpo through his legal team, Tap Legal Services, labeled her N100 million demand as “excessive, baseless, and premature.”

While asserting that all his statements stemmed from his personal interactions with her and were not made with ill intent as she alleged, he threatened to defend his case in court with all necessary evidence.

Ekpo, via his legal representative, further threatened to present all his proof along with his petition to the US authorities against her.

“Your correspondence acknowledges some of Our Client’s assertions, and he reserves the right to present it as evidence in his petition to the relevant US government agencies, including the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. Our client also retains the right to pursue declaratory and injunctive relief as may be essential to safeguard his rights and interests,” he stated.
