“Surprised by Solitude: Jason Derulo’s Journey to Singlehood at 37”

American vocalist Jason Joel Desrouleaux, widely recognized by his performing name Jason Derulo, has shared his thoughts on anticipating marriage at a young age, disclosing that he never imagined he would find himself single at 37.

In a discussion with Graham Bensinger, the ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ chart-topper openly stated that his experiences have altered his views on matrimonial relationships.

The artist mentioned that he has observed numerous separations and intense situations among couples, which left him apprehensive about commitment.

“I believed I would wed many of the girls I was involved with. Never did I envision that I would reach 37 and be unattached.

“However, I have witnessed far too much. My life experiences have shown me diverse scenarios; married women walking away from their partners suddenly, abandoning their men in clubs. I have encountered everything imaginable,” he conveyed.
Derulo and fellow artist Jordin Sparks were in a relationship for three years before concluding their romance in September 2014.

In 2021, he celebrated the birth of a son with his partner Jena Frumes. The duo separated just five months post the arrival of their child.
