A statement personally endorsed by the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, indicated that the late Dr. Nwaubani, who was swiftly taken to the hospital after experiencing the medical crisis, succumbed despite the heroic efforts of a proficient medical team to revive her.

“She had returned from the United States with her spouse—a true son of Abia—and her daughter, a final year medical student in the U.S., to provide her medical expertise at no cost to the residents of our beloved state, a contribution that highlights her as a caring and outstanding medical practitioner, alongside fellow ANPA volunteers.”

“I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and to also sympathize with the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas,” Otti expressed in sorrow.
