“2027 Showdown: APC Forum Rallies Behind Tinubu and Fubara for a Second Term!”
The APC Forum for Good Governance and Continuity has officially endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for additional terms in office.
The APC forum revealed this update during a press briefing in Abuja, where it presented an “evidence-based evaluation” of the leaders’ effectiveness in office.
During the gathering, Chief Henry Awolabi, National Coordinator of the APC Forum for Good Governance and Continuity, emphasized Tinubu’s daring economic reforms, such as the elimination of fuel subsidy, synchronization of exchange rates, and restructuring of taxes, which he stated have commenced stabilizing Nigeria’s macroeconomic landscape.
Awolabi also underscored Governor Fubara’s contribution to reinstating stability in Rivers State. The governor was praised for prioritizing infrastructural advancements, enhancements in healthcare, and agricultural projects aimed at diversifying the state’s economy beyond oil.
“When President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took office in 2023, Nigeria was teetering on the brink of a financial crisis. With a clear vision and exceptional political determination, this administration pursued what can only be termed a bold and groundbreaking reform agenda,” Awolabi remarked, adding that the removal of fuel subsidies “marked the start of a new chapter of fiscal accountability.”
He further noted that subsequent monetary and fiscal adjustments have aided in rebuilding investor trust and repositioning Nigeria on the global stage.
The APC Forum highlighted that Tinubu’s government has achieved consistent GDP growth surpassing 4 percent by the end of 2025, enhanced exchange rate stability, and a steady reduction in inflation.
They pointed out that foreign reserves have risen, trade surpluses have increased, and non-oil revenue generation has hit record levels.
The forum recognized that reforms of this scope bring about transitional difficulties but stressed that “nations are not transformed by comfort; they are transformed by bravery.”
Awolabi added: “In Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has exhibited leadership by maneuvering through significant political turbulence and reinstating stability while prioritizing infrastructure growth, including essential road projects that connect communities and boost commerce.
“The governor has also acted to finalize numerous neglected projects, initiated healthcare reforms to upgrade general hospitals, and supported agricultural initiatives to enhance food security and economic diversification.”
The APC Forum commended Fubara for exhibiting restraint amidst provocations and dedication in challenging times.
However, it cautioned that the greatest threat to advancement is inconsistency, stating that Nigeria is presently undergoing a structural reset.
“We unreservedly support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office. We do so because he has exhibited the courage to make tough choices, the discipline to carry out reforms, and the vision to realign Nigeria for greatness.
“We also unreservedly support Governor Siminalayi Fubara for a second term as Governor of Rivers State. We do so because he has demonstrated resilience in crises, dedication to development, and the ability to lead with purpose,” the APC Forum stated.
