Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication, has stated that a notable figure of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Peter Obi will never become the president of Nigeria.
Bwala expressed that Obi lacks the qualities of an individual aspiring to be the president of Nigeria.
Appearing on News Central TV’s 60 Minutes with Mr Kay on Friday, Bwala remarked: “Peter Obi will never ascend to the presidency. He will never traverse the central business district that leads to Aso Villa.”
“Anyone who would become a president possesses characteristics that are visible.
“The individual must be visionary, they must have deep-rooted grassroots support, authentic grassroots, not manipulation, and the person must be genuine in their intentions and should not portray an image that is entirely contrary to their true self; Peter Obi will never be that.”
The presidential aide further indicated that the former Anambra State governor lacks grassroots backing.
He also accused Obi of promoting false narratives to the Nigerian church during the tenure of the late former president Muhammadu Buhari.
“Peter Obi does not possess grassroots support; what Peter Obi did was approach the church with a narrative during Buhari’s administration, claiming that the church was being marginalized and that it was time for the church to reclaim their nation.
“That narrative is what he utilized to garner support among pastors and bishops, which does not constitute genuine grassroots backing,” he added.
