The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has charged the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition with engaging in extortion and lacking a definitive vision for the nation.
Bwala asserted that the organization was trying to coerce Nigerians into backing it.
Sharing on X, he stated: “Desperate individuals undertake desperate actions. Ideally, their coalition should instill hope and enthusiasm, but due to their absence of a distinct vision and alternatives for Nigeria, no one takes them seriously.”
He additionally contended that the coalition’s approach had failed to gain momentum, blaming it for spreading misinformation.
“You might believe that with @PeterObi introducing misleading news CSOs, counterfeit TV presenters, and an irrational Obidient movement with double standards they would generate momentum, but anything counterfeit rarely endures,” he remarked.
Bwala further alleged that the coalition was casting Nigeria in a negative light to the global community to sway voters.
“They have resorted to coercing Nigeria and its populace in the perception of the international audience; anticipating severe and harsh scrutiny that would impact the livelihoods and economy of ordinary Nigerians, compelling them to vote for them; that’s political thuggery,” he stated.
He questioned the validity of the coalition’s actions, implying that a group alleged to have forcibly taken control of a political party could not effectively form a credible opposition.
“But hold on, can a group that invades a political party in a Gestapo style, seizes the party structures by force and kidnaps the party, genuinely create an opposition?”
