The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) of unjustly targeting it, despite the APC’s predominant political stance in the nation.
During a discussion on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, remarked that the party remains composed and committed, regardless of the APC’s maneuvers.
“We, in the ADC, are composed because we understand our objectives, yet they, the APC, are the ones; after securing nearly 34 governors in their faction and almost the entire National Assembly, they continue to be anxious. They are still initiating lawsuits against the ADC,” he stated.
Abdullahi claimed that the APC frequently introduces the ADC in political dialogues, often to diminish its standing.
“They cannot engage in a dialogue without mentioning the ADC. They say ADC is inactive, it’s this or that, stirring up our members against us. Those who barely manage to make ends meet are now hiring Senior Advocates of Nigeria, which we believe makes no sense,” he continued.
He further assured members and supporters that participating in elections under the ADC banner is secure, both in legal and political terms.
“It’s neither legally nor politically hazardous for anyone to contest on the ADC platform,” Abdullahi emphasized.
