Dramatic Clash in Aba: Enyimba Steals Victory from Abia Warriors at the Last Minute!

Enyimba Football Club of Aba on Sunday triumphed over Abia Warriors of Umuahia 2-1 in an impressive Abia Derby held at Aba Stadium.

Two goals netted by Chidera Michael in the 60th and 90th minutes secured Enyimba the full three points against their Umuahia rivals.

The encounter produced intense moments in the penalty areas of both squads during the initial 45 minutes but ultimately concluded 0-0.

In the 60th minute, Chidera Michael found the back of the net to give the home side the advantage, but Abia Warriors leveled the score in the 87th minute through Emeka Obioma.

The fixture was destined for a 1-1 stalemate, but Chidera Michael once more scored for Enyimba in the 90th minute from a penalty after Wonah Williams of Enyimba was fouled in the Abia Warriors’ penalty area.

With Sunday’s win, Enyimba currently holds 39 points from 32 matches and sits 15th in the NPFL standings.

Abia Warriors, previously in 5th place last week, has fallen to 6th position while maintaining 49 points.
