“2027: Datti Baba-Ahmed Pledges Support for Peter Obi’s LP Ticket Bid Amid ADC Challenge”

Former Labour Party Vice-Presidential nominee, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has implored his previous superior, Peter Obi, to rejoin the LP if he fails to secure the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential nomination.

Datti Baba-Ahmed conveyed this request during an interview on Trust TV, which was observed by NAIJATAB.

He was discussing the upcoming 2027 general elections and the likelihood of Obi obtaining the ADC nomination.

“I hold a great deal of admiration for Peter Obi. Should he not acquire the ADC ticket, I kindly urge him to come back to the Labour Party.

“I will support him and endeavor to secure him the nomination in the Labour Party. I will also attempt to reconcile any disputes he may have had with others,” he stated.

It is noteworthy that Datti Baba-Ahmed served as Peter Obi’s running mate under the banner of the Labour Party during the 2023 general elections.
