Seasoned Nollywood performer Kehinde Olasehinde, commonly referred to as Pa James, has imparted thoughts on his enduring professional association with producer Wale Adenuga.
In a discussion with Lucky Udu, the actor – renowned for his part in the television series Papa Ajasco and Company – disclosed that the program substantially elevated both his fame and financial status.
He indicated that his income from the production facilitated him in acquiring his initial vehicle.
Pa James emphasized that he continues to collaborate with Adenuga and portrayed him as a dependable ally throughout the years.
Nonetheless, he clarified that the dynamics of the work have evolved, with significant intervals between productions.
“I still cooperate with Wale Adenuga. He has treated me well. The show granted me more fame than my previous Yoruba films. Financially, he made an effort for me; I secured my first vehicle when I began working with him.
“In those days, we worked regularly, but now we might film a few episodes and not be engaged again for as long as two years. Nowadays, a secondary source of income is necessary for subsistence.
“I can participate in other films, but I’m prohibited from using the name ‘Pa James’ because it has been registered. When I commenced, I was paid N2,500 per episode. Currently, it’s N45,000 per episode, typically around 10 episodes,” he shared.
