Adeyemi Kafayat, vocalist Shanko Rasheed’s separated spouse, has regained guardianship of their two children from him.
NAIJATAB recalls that Kafayat had, during a discussion on the Talk to B podcast, called out the Fuji artist for forcefully taking their remaining two children following the passing of their first child, Jamal, who passed away three weeks earlier.
She further accused Shanko of domestic violence and leaving her to care for three children. This situation, she claimed, contributed to the death of Jamal.
While alleging that the singer caused Jamal’s demise, Kafayat, who disclosed that the adolescent succumbed to depression, urged the public and relevant authorities to assist her in reclaiming her two children from him.
However, in a recent Instagram update, ‘Talk to B’ host, actress Biola Adebayo announced that Kafayat has regained guardianship of her children with the support of some compassionate Nigerians and the Lagos State government via the State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, DSVA.
Sharing an image of Kafayat’s reunion with her children, the actress wrote, “Shanko’s wife has ultimately regained custody of her two children following the loss of her first child. Triumph at last.”
