Afrobeats artist, Mr Real has criticized his peers and Nigerian music enthusiasts for launching new tracks and frequenting nightclubs despite the increasing turmoil in the nation.
Speaking in a recent video presentation, the Legbegbe hitmaker accused his fellow artists of lacking awareness for persisting in releasing music amid the security crisis in the country.
Mr Real clarified that he has been unable to unveil new music due to the prevailing sentiment of the nation.
He stated, “I awaken to distressing news each day. I am even apprehensive to release songs because of the dreadful events occurring in Nigeria. Musicians who are unveiling songs are managing because I cannot comprehend the mindset they possess. How do some artists manage it?
“This nation is on fire. Lives are being lost. Some individuals have converted insecurity into a trade while we still visit clubs. That is the issue.
“You might contend that you have your own existence to live. I also cannot deny that I enjoy going to clubs or savoring my life. But can’t you observe that it is not standard? It feels as though we are under a charm to remain passive regardless of how severe things become. Is it normal?”
