The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has dismissed six of his appointees and suspended the Chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission in a bid to boost efficiency and enhance service delivery within the state government.

This decision was conveyed in a statement on Tuesday by Mr. Samuel Jatau, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), in Jos.

As stated by Jatau, this measure is part of ongoing initiatives to realign the administration for improved performance.

The individuals impacted by the termination include:

Mr. Timothy Golu, Special Adviser on Strategic Communication
Mr. Fom Gwottson, Liaison Officer, Jos South
Mr. Nanbol Rimvyat, Liaison Officer, Langtang North
Mr. Nannim Langyi, Liaison Officer, Langtang North
Mr. Paul Datugum, Liaison Officer, Qua’an Pan
Mr. Nimchat Rims, Liaison Officer, Langtang South

Additionally, Mr. Johnbull Shekarau, Chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission, was suspended due to behavior considered inappropriate for his role.

The SSG directed all affected officials to return government assets in their custody to the relevant authorities.

Jatau remarked that Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude for the contributions made by the terminated and suspended officials, wishing them success in their future pursuits.

“The governor is dedicated to maintaining a highly effective and accountable administration, and this action is part of the efforts to accomplish that objective,” the statement further noted.
