“UTME 2026 Revealed: Unpacking the Mystery Behind Withheld Results – Insights from JAMB”

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has clarified why certain candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, are encountering a “No Result Yet” notification when they check their scores.

In a communiqué authorized by JAMB’s representative, Fabian Benjamin, on Tuesday, the board indicated that this issue pertains to underage candidates whose results are yet to be published.

“Results for underage candidates remain unpublished,” it stated.

“When these candidates try to verify their results, the system will display the message ‘No Result Yet.’”

JAMB had affirmed that only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are permitted to take part in the UTME.

Nonetheless, exceptions will be granted to exceptionally high-achieving candidates.
