The current Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), proceeded largely without issues at monitored locations in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday.
A NAN correspondent who visited several Computer-Based Test, CBT centers reports that candidates began their assessments as planned, with few technical grievances.
At the Arc Bamidele Samson CBT Centre, a candidate, Miss Adebanke Oyedele, who arrived around 9.00 a.m., characterized her experience as seamless and engaging.
“I started on schedule, and the examination was quite intriguing. For me, there were no issues, although I noticed some others voicing concerns,” she stated.
Oyedele, who aims to pursue Mass Communication at the University of Ibadan, anticipates a score of approximately 250.
Likewise, Mr. Agwaza Simon conveyed his contentment with the administration of the examination.
“There were no system breakdowns or connectivity problems. Everything proceeded smoothly,” he remarked, also mentioning his desire to study Accounting at the University of Ibadan.
Another candidate, Mr. Isak Sherifu, described the examination atmosphere as tranquil and well-organized, recognizing the lack of technical difficulties and praising officials for their professionalism.
Additionally, Miss Ayomide Busari pointed out that her examination progressed seamlessly without any connectivity issues, mentioning her plan to study Law at the University of Ibadan.
A parent, Mrs. Olubunmi Komolafe, who accompanied her daughter to the CBT center, confirmed that the process was orderly.
“I arrived prior to 9.00 a.m., and my daughter commenced shortly after 9.00 a.m.
“Everything has been calm, and there are no problems with the internet,” she remarked.
Efforts to speak with a JAMB ad-hoc supervisor at the Arc Bamidele Samson CBT Centre were fruitless, as he indicated he was not permitted to converse with reporters.
At the JAMB Zonal Office in Ibadan, candidates also initiated their assessments as scheduled, without any technical issues at all.
